ABOUT THE PROJECT

Welcome to the Westfield Community Solar program, brought to you by our team at Green Street Power Partners!

We're excited to announce that construction is complete for the solar system that will provide clean, renewable energy for Westfield. Up to 250 Westfield residents will be able to participate in the Community Solar program.

PARTICIPATION

ELIGIBILITY
Westfield residents must submit the following to be eligible:

  • Proof of residence in the form of tax, utility, or city water/sewer service addressed to Westfield residence, AND
  • Proof of ID (state ID, driver license, passport)

PROGRAM DURATION
Program will run to the end of the MA SRECII program in 2027; participants must show proof of residency at the end of each year

COMPENSATION
Participants will receive a check for approximately $80 at the end of each year, equivalent to ~7-10% of their annual electric bill.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

SYSTEM GENERATES POWER
The system produces power that’s sent to the grid

ENERGY BILL
You still receive your utility bill as usual

RESIDENTS RECEIVE BENEFIT
At the end of each year, participants will receive a check for ~$50-$80*

*Annual amount may vary depending on program participation (250 residents) and actual solar production (estimated at 6,000 MWh/year. Each participant will receive equal value at the end of each year, or prorated if the resident moves during the year.

ENROLLMENT
To participate in the program, be the first 250 people to complete the sign-up form below by December 1st (there's no cost to sign-up).

We received an incentive from the state of Massachusetts for creating a community solar program, and they are passing a portion on to program participants in accordance with DOER rules.
